21st June 2008

Technical Specs:
125Ltr 80cm Fluval aquarium
Tetratec EX700 external filter
Hydor ETH200 inline heater
Pressurised CO2 through glass diffuser
Realux T5HO 4500K 30W PlantGro
Arcadia T8 7500K 18W Freshwater

Plants: Microsorum Pteropus 'Philippine', Microsorum Pteropus 'Needle', Anubias Barteri, Anubias Barteri v Nana, Anubias Barteri v Nana 'Petite', Cryptocoryne Undulata, Cryptocoryne Wendtii 'Brown', Cryptocoryne Wendtii 'Green', Cryptocoryne Parva.

Livestock:6 x Corydoras Schultzei Black (breeding group), 12 x Microrasbora Erythromicron.

The light wilI be reduced to just using the T5HO on its own (0.9WPG) for the 8 hour photoperiod. The Arcadia may be used for a 2 hour 'noon burst' and to balance the colour when taking photos. With both on this is still only 1.45WPG.

Dosing is via the PMDD+P formula which I found to be very successful previously.

Substrate is the p
revious Tropica/Leonardite mix with sand on top.

The hardscape is Redmoor wood. The key for the aquascape I have in mind is for the wood not to be a focal point and just be the base for me to get some height in the aquascape with the needle ferns attached to it. Due to me not soaking the redmoor it has some limestone rocks holding it down which will be removed in 1 month when the fish arrive.
