Currently working on some LED lights which will replace the flourescent lighting. Check it out in the projects section.

The Koralia1 has now replaced the Maxijet MP400. The hood has been turned into a Luminaire anticipating that the LEDS even at 1.1WPG will be much higher light than the flourescents. The tank is now open top. the bottom 2 inches of the 'ex' hood have been cut away as they are no longer needed.








13th February 2009

The LED lighting in action and I have been informed that they are running at 2.45W each which means when they are fully on they give 37W (1.1WPG.) The LEDs however are 30cm above the water level compared to the fluorescents which were 12-15cm above the water. Growth is still faster than with the fluorescents.

This aquascape will be taken down now as I am eager to create a new aquascape under the LED lights.
