As you may guess from the amount of plants and the stocking this was my first aquarium let alone planted.

I bought a second hand setup from ebay in October 2006 complete with stock and equipment which we collected. Some stock was unfortunately dead on arrival home.

Within two months of starting my new hobby I was admiring the wonderful planted setups and set off on the road that we call aquascaping.

The tank when I got it was a plain pea gravel setup with a piece of bogwood, a teracotta pot, two resin ornaments and a few plastic plants.

The first thing I did with it was to add a couple of pieces of bogwood.
