The clearing

2nd January 2007

Still waiting to aquascape I rehomed 11 fish : 5 x glolight Tetras, 5 x Danios and 1 Black Molly.

7th January 2007

The plants arrived and my first busy day of aquascaping.

I rinsed the playsand, emptied the tank into a clean dustbin and transferred the fish. Then washed the tank fully inside and out. Dried and buffed the glass. Put the tank in place and commenced the real work.

In went some TetraComplete substrate and then topped off with the playsand. Half filled the tank with clean water and put back the ornaments. Planted out the tank and filled to the top with old tank water followed by the fish in a container floating on the surface.

Reconnected all the equipment and went about acclimitising the fish to the new water parameters as if they were new.

13th January 2007

One week after planting and I have already drastically changed the aquascape, partly due to researching that certain plants needed better light or space, partly due to advice given about spacing of the plants, and partly due to not liking the way it was.

Also added a Nutrafin CO2 kit.
