The unit is now 15 months old and I am pleased to say it has not had a single failure. I know that most of the original DIY LED builds had failures within their first few months so fingers crossed that I did something right that was missed by others.

As you can see from the pictures the unit has now moved to the other side of my chimney breast but the aquascape below it is still the same and growing well. I think we can assume without any shadow of a doubt that LEDs are fine for growing plants.
