DIY LED lighting MkII

I still had a little veneering to do so I completed this and then trimmed any over hanging bits before fine sanding the veneer all over. I then cleaned the bottom again because it had got covered with dust and for good measure I decided at this point to do a very quick P1200 wet and dry over it before polishing again. You can see the shine in the last picture here.

Just a few finishing touches before I am ready for transferring the electrics over from the current unit. The vents were positioned and the holes for attaching them drilled.

The lid was the next job. I measured the outer measurements of the case. added 2mm on all edges because I was going to rout a recess for the lid to sit in and then cut some more MDF. When it was cut I then had to hand 'round' the corners of the lid to fit into the case's recess because the router makes round corners at the joins.
Once it fitted it was also veneered and sanded.
