Under the forest canopy

Week 12 and the Giant Bacopa and Nymphea are rampant and require pruning every week. The Nuphar is out of control and I have to cut 2-3 leaves off every week or so. This plant pre pruning spans the tank at 80cm (30 inches.) It is a monster.

The Crypts are growing quite well.

The Java Fern is now down to new growth only as all the pre-scape leaves have been cut away.

The Anubias are battling on and are now producing quite a few leaves.

The Christmas moss has battled the algae and is now winning as it is feeding on any dead relatives it is sitting on. There are huge frongs of green coming from it.

A large gap between posts here because I moved house. I took this opportunity to totally redo the aquascape. the tank was transported with just the substrate left in the tank so it is basically a total rescape.

I left the slate where it was but slanted it in a much more prominent position. The tree has moved from centre to right and the Mopani Cave has moved from the right to centre. The filter pipes have moved to the right. On the CO2 front I am using a maxijet MP400 with a DIY needle hole impellor.

I have added some Blyxia Japonica and Cryptocoryne Balansae that I got from George Farmer, and also some slightly larger leaved Anubias.

The Nuphar Japonica and Nymphea Rubra have all been sold on as they were a little too much for this scape.
