With the blue dye dry I lightly 'dragged' some P400 paper over the body and headstock to remove any little pieces in preparation for clearcoating..
For the headstock and neckplate I had decided to use the name 'ROSACOLE' which is the surname of my 2 sons, (its actually Rosa-Cole) and used some silver metallic push transfers which come on a sheet and you rub the sheet from the front with a pencil or similar object and the transfer sticks to the object at the rear. This came out really well.

The screwplate on the rear was scratched and scuffed so I had decided to make this look better. I had already filled it with grainfiller to remove most of the scratches and then sprayed over with black paint. After quite a few layers of black it was sanded as far as P400 and then I added some more push transfers to the rear. RC for ROSACOLE and then a model No PP1-09. I then sprayed the first few layers of clearcoat onto it. I am not using any £15 a can specialist stuff here as I don't see any need for it. I am using £3.29 Wilkinsons Acrylic clear gloss. 4 cans should be enough for the whole project.
The last thing I did was to cut out a silhouette of the guitar from some card and then devise a way to keep it at an equal distance from the face all the way round. This is to get the black to fade into the blue on the face edges. I am using some screw so that I can raise or lower each one to get the card 'mask' an equal distance from the guitar.
