Description Bangle With Re Purposed And Recycled Materials We have hand made this bangle with re purposed and recycled materials, some of which, have also been cleaned off our beaches. Incorporating a panel from a traditional Papua New Guinea hand woven string bag [ Bilum], this cuff or bangle features man made waste. As a natural contrast to the synthetic string used in this bilum, we have also included a section of a discarded snake skin. This skin was found in our garden and is from a wild small brown tree snake, which lives in and around the area. All this is encased in clear resin, which showcases these repurposed materials without distracting from them. We have, furthermore, deliberately included some small pieces of plastic and sea fern at each end of the cuff to further highlight the problem of discarded plastics in our oceans. A Bangle That Carries An Environmental Message. Incorporating debris collected from local beaches as well as pieces of sea fern, this eco bangle showcases man made waste. Hand collected by both volunteers and recreational dive groups, the man made synthetic plastics have been featured as a deliberate environmental statement.
