Using a fusion of silver and gold, Boru Jewelry have created a collection that recreates the past and reflects contemporary fashion. This collection is inspired by one of Ireland’s most famous treasures, the Ardagh Chalice. The Ardagh Chalice is from the 8th century AD and is also one of Ireland’s most prized artifacts. The Chalice, along with 5 other pieces, was found in late September 1868 by two boys, Jim Quin and Paddy Flanagan, digging in a potato field on the south-western side of a rath (ring fort) called Reerasta, beside the village of Ardagh, County Limerick, Ireland.  The Chalice is in the National Museum of Ireland. It’s one of the most important pieces of Celtic art. The bowl and foot of the chalice are made of silver. The outer side of the bowl is decorated with applied gold, silver, glass, amber and enamel ornament. The underside of the foot contains a polished rock crystal at the center. There are also great examples of fine filigree gold work on this piece. It’s from these ornate designs that Boru Jewelry have created the much loved Celtic Warrior Collection. The gold filigree on the Ardagh Chalice forms the basis of the intricate designs featured on each piece of the Celtic Warrior Collection. This Celtic Warrior Small Pendant is presented in its own Warrior Collection packaging and also comes with a story card.
