Not sure if this is normal for rigilene or not, as this was my first time sewing boning into a corset. So this is my experience with it.The rigilene cuts easy with a pair of scissors. It also sews easy (I passed over one end and my sewing machine needle didn‚Äôt break ü§∑ü誂Äç‚ôÄÔ∏è).You can burn/melt the edges with a lighter to seal and make them not poke out. (Not too long or it turns black and you have to re-do).I felt this was not a permanent solution though. I had to do this a couple of times, as the ends would kinda ‚Äúwear off‚Äù as I moved garment around to sew, and eventually poke out of the channels I made. This could also be due to the fact that I used twill tape in place of actual boning channels, maybe the fishtail cotton twill tape material is too thin to protect it, though I folded the ends.I have not tried to maybe bend the very end of the rigilene piece being used, and maybe secure that. That being said, once you bypass all that, the boning works well. It‚Äôs not stiff, so you don‚Äôt feel constricted, but it kept my corset in shape. It does bend a little when sitting but that‚Äôs not a dealbreaker, and you can somewhat reshape it.The cost for it was minimal for the roll I got. One thing I was disappointed was the fact that I placed one in my cart and left it for a couple of days while I leisurely shopped for other items, and the cost rose to double. So when I ended up buying, I had to pay more. That happens a lot on Amazon and I find that is ridiculous. All in all I‚Äôm giving it 4 stars because of the edges ‚Äúfraying‚Äù and poking out even after melting them. But I would recommend it.
